This was a very prestigious project using a diverse range of materials. The material for the cherry hardwood timber slats had to be hand picked to ensure that they had the lowest sap content, and the same with the birch plywood mezzanine floor, balcony, fins, and corridors. The material came directly from the supplier in Russia and they helped ensured that the boards were defect free and of the highest quality. The client was especially pleased with the contrast between the birch plywood and the stone walls was very impressive.
